"As the Regional Coordinator for the Health & Human Services Commission,
I have had the opportunity of working with the Character Connection in
coordinating the Peaceful Solution materials to the children of residents
in Colonias. A Colonia as defined by the Office of the Secretary of State
is a residential area along the Texas-Mexico border that lacks some of the
basic living necessities, such as potable water and sewer systems,
electricity, paved roads, and safe and sanitary housing. Colonias, while
frequently found in unincorporated areas of the counties, are also found
within city limits.
The Character Connection staff have provided free Peaceful Solution
materials to these underserved areas in Webb Counties and classes were held
at two colonia community center sites and in one Middle School also located
in a colonia area. The children have really enjoyed the information and
materials that were provided to them by the Character Connection staff".

There�s a saying that �Being ordinary is easy, but being
extraordinary is not easy�. The Peaceful Solution has taught me to
be extraordinary. My teacher, Mr. William Crouse, has an
extraordinary way of looking at life because of his experiences and
dealings with the The Peaceful Solution.

The things I at my age have learned in using this book are things I
never learned in school. The bottom line is I can�t even buy this
knowledge with money. Going to The Peaceful Solution classes is the
best thing that has ever happened to me. My morale about life has
altogether changed. I look at life differently now, and I can
understand human beings more easily. I am able to read their flaws
and non-flaws. As a matter of fact, life is what we make it. We make
our beds so shall we lie in them. If I have all the positive character
traits taught through The Peaceful Solution; honesty, compassion,
forgiveness, discipline, self-control, respect, patient, education, and
you name them, then the world will be a better place for all of us.
